Book review – The Meaning of Children

PWAC Quebec member Beverly Akerman’s collection of short stories, The Meaning of Children, is available for order through Chapters/Indigo and

“Akerman follows children through the stages of adolescence, childbearing and the empty nest, occupying different decades, genders and narrative voices throughout 14 short stories. Disparate parts come together with recurring themes of sex, death, guilt and social prejudice. This isn’t the invented childhood of imagination and wonderment.”

Read the entire review in the Globe and Mail.

We presume a launch is planned. Stay tuned for the where & when!

Congratulations, Beverly!
