Quebec Heritage News seeking contributors

Quebec Heritage News (QHN) magazine, the flagship publication of Quebec Anglophone Heritage Network (QAHN), is looking for editorial content, original or reprinted. The magazine is currently a non-paying market.

QAHN is a provincial non-profit and non-partisan organization founded in September 2000 whose mission is to help advance knowledge of the history and culture of English-speaking society in Quebec.

Published six times per year, the magazine began as a communications tool, a newsletter to provide members with news about the organization and its upcoming events, and as a marketing tool for the organization, a vehicle to apprise current and potential funders and the general public on its project activities, updates and reports.

Quebec Heritage News defines its editorial mission as follows:
1) To share stories about people, ideas and events from the past that helped shape Quebec’s society;
2) To foster interest in all aspects of Quebec heritage, including, though not restricted to, the history and culture of diverse English-speaking communities; and,
3) To report on civic and legislative affairs, government programs, community activities and wide-ranging public-policy issues affecting heritage conservation in Quebec.
